The Absolute Must-Have Beauty Products for Red Carpet Events

Last week, Meredith (my assistant, who rocks!), and I styled two clients for the ESPY awards at the beautiful Terranea resort in Rancho Palos Verdes.  Amazing ocean views!  It was three jam packed days of pulling gowns, tuxes, jewelry, clutches and shoes- and then we were ready!
The client was torn between 3 stunning gowns.  We narrowed it down to a floor length Herve Legere. It fit like a glove and the floor grazing length was perfect for after-awards dancing.  We accessorized with a Jimmy Choo black clutch, Manolo black/gold pumps, Alexis Bittar earrings and an Orsini bangle. With so many options, the client did go home with 2 additional pairs of shoes and an an Alexander McQueen dress.  Why not shop when you are being styled!
The client’s son looked super sharp in a Dolce & Gabana tux with a Gucci shirt and Louis Vuitton shoes.
After the fitting, I had the privilege of collaborating with the fantastic hair stylist, Lisa Mitchell and makeup artist, Tiffany Stout (who is from Bluebell, PA- small world!).  These ladies worked like lightening and shared a few of their must-have products to be red carpet ready.
There is nothing better then learning beauty tricks from the pros.  Read on and start shopping!

Makeup:
Regenessece High Lift  Giorgio Armani

Tiffany prepared the skin with this Regenessece creme.  She swears by the whole Armani beauty line.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation #2

Next was the foundation.  Tiffany says its the best!

Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Silk Shadow #13

Love this color which she used to create the smokey eye.

MAC Powder Blush in Sunbasque

This shimmer blush in Sunbasque gives the skin a beautiful glow.

Hair:

Oribe Apres Beach Wave & Shine Spray

Lisa had to create an updo in a very minimal amount of time.   She prepped the hair by blowing it out and spraying each section.  She loves the BioLure structural spray but I was not able to locate it.  I do love the Oribe spray which has also been highly recommended by hair stylists.

Hair Tools Jumbo Velcro Rollers

After blowing out, she rolled the crown in these jumbo velcro rollers.  Adding lift and volume.

Phytolaque Soie Hairspray
Lastly, she went back around the head with an iron spraying each section with this Phytolaque spray.  Lisa testifies to no frizz regardless of humidity levels!  I have to try!
The finished look was awesome.  A smokey eye with paled lip and a off center loose chignon.  Their artistry complemented my clients gown perfectly!
Happy Weekend!
