HBO Emmy Party!

While most of the little golden guys aren’t given out until the beginning of the year, the TV trophies were awarded a few weeks ago at the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.  Lucky for me, my dear (and fabulous) friend Jen Weisel, Entertainment Director for Elle magazine (look her up!), invited me to accompany her to the HBO post-awards party which was held at the The Plaza of the
Jen & I
The food was catered by Wolfgang Puck, by far the best event food I have ever eaten.
Stila Cosmetics and Dry Bar make-up tables were posted near the ladies in case you needed a last minute touch up. Thank you, we took advantage!
Kerry Washington & Allison Williams
‘Scandal’ ‘Girls’
As always, we laughed our way thru the party chatting with many nominees and celebs that Jen works with such as the beautiful Kerry Washington whose sparkly personality matched her dress.  Allison Willams was stylishly trend right in her peplum emerald gown.
Judd Apatow & Leslie Mann
‘This is 40’
Funny, cool couple, Leslie Mann and Judd Apatow were equally sharp on the red carpet.  Leslie looked effortless in her lace-bodiced, tangerine skirted dress.  The turquoise baubles were a thoughtful styling addition.  The pockets created a much relaxed stance when being photographed.
Every gown should have pockets!
Emilia Clarke
‘Game of Thrones’
Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke was brilliant in a Chanel gown with simple jewelry and a teased ponytail.  She looked radiant and was a total delight to talk to.  Emilia filled us in on her styling secret having Chanel add special elasitic pocket pulls so that the purple embroidered underskirt could be revealed.  Smart idea!   If unfamiliar with Emilia, check her out as Daenerys Targaryen, the dragon queen, who fights to keep her family legacy alive.  Game of Thrones is epic in costume,
setting and story.  A must-add to your TV viewing.
Take a peek at Emilia!

The retro/psychedelic party decor was full of exploded flower shapes in saturated yellows, purples, greens and blues.  The designers took the concept of a ‘theme’ to a new level
with pattern on every surface.
Decadent would best describe the evening from the decor, to the food and drink, to the guests.
I enjoyed every single minute!
