Coachella has always been a mad dash through the land of music appreciation… and exploration for me. Incorporate a weekend’s worth of rather adventurous fashion choices while on a desert getaway and I’m hooked. This year was a little different. I decided to pay homage to the barrage of day parties I’ve always heard about, but never attended. Luckily, Meg was just as curious to peek inside and see how these parties hold up to the festival magic. Here’s what I found out…
MUSE for The Art of Elysium
Not exactly a day party (as somehow it poured rain all day in the desert), but an amazing set-up all the same. Put on by Gen Art, this was an outside wonderland of (free!) sweets & treats as far as the eye could see.
Paul Frank, art and charity all rolled up into one? Yep & yep. Not to mention, their fab promoters who could turn just about any party-goer into an artist.Hard Rock Music Mansion |
Party like a rockstar, indeed, this tropical party paradise was definitely the rich man’s version of a music festival. Why schlep around in a giant field with thousands when you can sit poolside, cabana-style while the music phenoms come to you? EXACTLY. I’ll take another vodka cran splash, please?

Anna from Refinery29 was the perrrrrfect hostess aboard their mod make-up bus teamed with Smashbox Cosmetics.
Ashley & Laura sporting their own tropics-ready Dimepiece Designs with the simply (but, chic-ly!) styled, Sam.
Met the See You Monday girls ever so appropriately behind the red ropes. If only I could wear some of their delicious designs at my job come Monday…
‘Gimme Shelter’ with Planet Blue x Foam Magazine
Ahhhh…Sunday afternoon. With the temps finally creeping up past 80 degrees, a pool party was just what the doctor ordered. Hosted at the Alcazar Hotel, I was immediately greeted by a darling bag full of goodies including fab fun from: Australian eyeware company, Quay, Urban Decay, and NCLA. Topped off by meet and greets with some of my fav bloggers and drinks delicioso from Peligroso, I was happily entertained.

I caught up with Mary & Harry Bradford from England on holiday and…talked about going to see Titanic 3D. SO charming & just look at their complementary style! |

Sunday Festival
Beginning high school in the mid-nineties (Eek! I am not even going to think about how long ago that was…) meant many things, one of them being that Dre, 2Pac, and Snoop Dogg were a big deal. Since I was never able to actually attend any of their shows then, the resurrection of 2Pac could not have been a more perfect set-up. And…the fashion inspiration. Duh. Needless to say, the crowds and the madness were well worth it. Happy Coachella!
