Ampersand Boutique is a consignment shop nestled within the cuteness of Larchmont. The fab shop owner, Laura Armstrong, curates a mix of designer, high street and vintage labels. The shop constantly receives new merchandise so I try to pop in whenever I’m in that neck of the woods.
A few weeks ago, I made a special stop for awards-season worthy vintage clutches + evening bags. Per usual, I was in awe of the quality and beadwork (not to mention massive selection!) that was priced to sell. Lovely to see Laura again too…
Shoes and boots are always scattered throughout the shop. Displayed atop tables and nestled in corners, the styles are always trend-right and at – I’m taking a pair home – prices.
Sifting through racks of everyday labels to designer, I came across a beautiful J. Crew gold lamé skirt. Brand. Spanking. NEW. As metallics are perfect for the holidays, it quickly climbed the ranks of my closet rotation & I was able to incorporate it for both day & night occasions. My shopping mantra? Always shop your own closet before shopping a store.
I love the idea of sparkle for day! It mixes so richly with soft knits and tones down the fancy-ness of the outfit.
Featured Above: gold Ampersand skirt paired with a yummy, oversized, DKNY cowl neck sweater, black tights with a floral pattern (from Italy), a Bottega Veneta, shearling crossbody bag (ancient and still in style!), Madewell burgundy patent flats and burgundy tear drop earrings from a turkish bazaar in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
Dress it up! Shimmer & shine always look good with animal and don’t forget to add a color pop.

Ampersand is the LA destination for both dropping off to sell after a large seasonal purge and swinging by to add some stylish yet affordable additions to your closet. Be sure to mention that I sent you!
