Au Grenier de Lucie at Marché Aux Puces – The Best Accessory Stall in PARIS!

My husband and I are just back from a week in Paris (no kids!).  An amazing trip filled with friends, culture, food, wine and SHOPPING! 

Husband had the idea that we should take a trek on the Metro, line 4, to the very last stop, Clingnancourt, and explore this fabulous Parisian flea, Marché du Puces.  The triangular shaped market is made up of stall after stall of textiles, furniture, home goods, books, and of course, fashion!

We stumbled upon stand 25, Au Grenier de Lucie, a stall filled with vintage jewelry and accessories.  I spotted the sparkle from the allée and had to go in.

Au Grenier corners the market in 19th crowns that have been collected from churches around France.   The encased pieces were stunning, rich with ornate detail and the most brilliant gold.

Farther into the shop were case after case of vintage jewelry from the 20’s to present;  Chanel, Christian Lacroix, Yves Saint Laurent, Miriam Haskell and so much more.  Having a special place in my heart for 80’s jewels, I was in heaven with the 

 e x a g g e r a t e d  chandelier earrings, collars, broaches, and pendant necklaces.  FABULOUS!

The best part was the lovely owner, Heidi Ellis, (and her visiting Mom) who were running the shop.  Heidi and her husband, Jason, moved from London in 2005 to lead the helm from Jason’s retiring Mother, Lucie, who had opened Au Grenier in 1987.  Obviously a family, with a discerning eye for design and beauty.  

For those who love to collect vintage baubles, Au Grenier de Lucie is a must-stop at Marché Aux Puces.  The perfect spot to buy a gift or gift yourself.  Include Marché Aux Puces in your next Parisian travel plan.  Bargain filled it is not, but everything is negotiable!
